2006 -2007 Yamaha grizzly gas tank vent recall had this problem with my grizzly 660

What is crazy is that when you go to order a replacement vent / check valve from Yamaha , there is now a NEW part # for the vent / check valve that according to Yamaha ( what , over 2 years now ? ) has NO issues . I just installed the newer version and its alot bigger in size , to me , thats just as good as Yamaha finally sorta admitting that the original ones did not work very well indeed . You only need to browse any Grizzly forum anywhere online to see the boiling gas issue .

I also replaced the neutral sensor and housing while I was messing around the other day . Easy to moderate job IMO and also another issue that alot of owners are having when a few miles are put on the grizz . I started having this issue just after I turned over 700 miles . With my luck , they recall that one too !!

Most companies will refund $$$ spent on a recalled part if you replaced it at your expense , or at least Nissan did that on a $1500 injector screw up back in the 90's . They sent me a check for $ 1400 bucks since I'd just paid to have it done a month before the recall came out . I did learn to check recalls on any model of anything I buy now hehehe .

Step up Yamaha ! You can afford it by the looks of the new 2009 MSRP prices ! WOW ! I can almost sell my 07 for close to what I paid for it over a year ago compared to a brand new one !!
